The majority of memorials are specially manufactured to your order. There is usually a delivery period of 16-20 weeks, while the memorial is produced and erected. In any event, local authorities will not allow a memorial to be erected for 6-9 months from the date of burial, and our delivery times allow for this. If we have the memorial in stock, or for items such as vases and tablets, this process may take less time. Due to the nature of the process we are unable to promise that a memorial will be erected by any given date, although we will always try our best to help if we can.

Generally it is wise to wait at least 6-9 months to allow the ground to settle. South Gloucestershire Council, for example, now insist on a delay of 9 months on a full burial. However this does not prevent you ordering within this time, as memorials take some considerable time to produce.

We can produce anything you have seen here or elsewhere – in a cemetery, in brochures or online. Bring in or send us a photo of one you have seen, if you wish. Our quality and specifications will meet or exceed any you will see elsewhere.

Everyone’s idea of what a memorial should look like is different. We don’t “mass-produce” our memorials down to a price, and we like to work with you during the design stages. We don’t do anything without your complete approval. We can produce artwork showing what your completed memorial will look like, and this can be worked on and changed until you are completely happy.

Local authorities are required by Health and Safety law to ensure that their cemeteries are safe for visitors, workers and contractors alike. Many carried out over-zealous”safety testing” procedures and many stones were laid down without any prior consultation or consent. The law has recently been clarified, and we understand that councils are now advised not to do this unless there is imminent risk of a memorial toppling over. They are then required to consult a reputable monumental mason or structural engineer. This should mean that unsafe memorials can be repaired quickly and effectively without the distress previously caused. If this issue affects you, please contact us for further advice.
As members of the National Association of Memorial Masons, all our memorials are designed and erected to strict British Standards and the NAMM Code of Working Practice. We use stainless steel ground anchors where appropriate, ensuring that our memorials are are as safe as possible.
For complete peace of mind in the future we suggest very reasonable, all-risks cover from Stoneguard, the market leader in memorial insurance. We understand that this procedure is covered by this policy. Please contact us for further information.
